White House 90-Day Challenge
Recognizing the critical importance of trucking to the supply chain and overall economy, and how Registered Apprenticeships can quickly bring skilled talent into the market, the Biden-Harris Administration has selected Fastport for a key role in their Trucking Action Plan.
We are committed to work with trucking employers, unions, and industry associations to establish Registered Apprenticeship programs for their organizations in as little as 48 hours.
Truck Driver Shortage Task Force
President Joe Biden and the Cabinet convened industry and labor leaders together last week for a progress report on alleviating supply chain issues that have caused shortages of consumer goods and raised prices and the inflation rate for all Americans. Fastport was selected by the Biden-Harris Administration because of its success in helping transportation sector employers create apprenticeship programs and our work with transitioning military Veterans.
The Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence Award was created by the U.S Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes Program (HOH), Kenworth, and Fastport to award a fully-loaded T-680 truck to a deserving veteran who enters the trucking industry.
The winner will be selected following a year-long competition among Veterans, Guard Members and Reservists who have made the successful transition in the trucking industry following military service.
