Workforce Development

The US Department of Labor named Fastport as one of its Industry intermediaries to accelerate the growth of Registered Apprenticeships across the United States. As an Intermediary, our goal is to educate, inspire and hire military veterans and other diverse apprentices into our employer network, which currently employs about 50% of all new apprentices entering transportation careers.

Since 2016, our network has employed over 23,000 apprentices with over 140 employers, and we continue to provide our technical expertise to enhance Registered Apprenticeship programs by helping employers find the right resources, the right pathways to programmatic success, and the right talent to fill open positions.
