Hiring America, the only television program dedicated to Veteran employment, and FASTPORT have launched a campaign to help educate, motivate, inspire, and hire Veterans into great careers in trucking by showing them how they are hard-wired to succeed in the industry.
Today, Hiring America launched the first televised interview to kick off that campaign.
The interview took place at the Fort Benning Hiring Expo on August 18, 2015 where hundreds of Soldiers sought out industry leaders from all over the country who attended with the goal to hire the men and women of the U.S. Military onto their teams. The hiring fair was a collaborative effort between FASTPORT and the Fort Benning Soldier for Life Transition Assistance Program that works tirelessly to support Soldiers as they transition into civilian life after military service. To spread the word about career opportunities in the trucking industry and FASTPORT’s Trucking Track Mentoring Program, Hiring America will air videos and interviews of leading employers, including Clean Harbors, Kenan Advantage Group, Ryder, TMC Transportation, JB Hunt and Werner.
“We’re excited to showcase the outstanding career opportunities these industry leaders offer our veterans,” said Bill Deutch, CEO of Hiring America. “I know Hiring America viewers will respond favorably to learning about these great careers and employers, and we look forward to helping them connect.”
Hiring America will be launching a 3rd season this Fall which will run from September 2015-September 2016, and the show will air in 195 local markets nationwide reaching 107 Million US TV households and on the American Forces Network. Each episode throughout the series will dedicate 90 seconds of every 30 minutes to feature the career opportunities in trucking in which Veterans are primed to succeed.
“We are excited to partner with Hiring America as their expanding television audience provides incredible reach to help the trucking industry educate, motivate, inspire and hire more veterans,” said Bill McLennan. “The trucking industry now has the best television platform and programming to target its message about the great career opportunities from the best employers in the industry.”
